Tim Harris is one of the most exciting children’s authors in Australia. His first series of books, Exploding Endings, will have primary-aged readers both captivated and laughing out loud. The first book in the series, Painted Dogs & Doom Cakes, was awarded Honour Book at the 2017 KOALAs. His second series, Mr Bambuckle’s Remarkables, contains his trademark quirkiness, mixed with a touch of poignancy. The lead book was awarded a CBCA Notable in 2018 and was been shortlisted for the 2018 REAL Awards.

Kids Capers - Stella interviews R.A. Spratt

R.A. Spratt is the prolific literary genius who writes The Peski Kids, Friday Barnes: Girl Detective and The Adventures of Nanny Piggins. But if you haven’t read any of them you may have watched one of the 32 different television shows she has written on.

R.A. Spratt lives in Bowral, Australia with her husband and two daughters.  She has one dog, three chickens and five goldfish. In her spare time she enjoys telling small children outrageously untrue stories.

Stella is a 12-year-old girl, passionate about all things book related. She is a proud Potterhead (a Harry Potter mega fan) who enjoys reading about his magical adventures again and again. She also loves reading the work of R.A. Spratt, an Australian comedy writer who writes “laugh until your stomach hurts” books. Stella has read all of her stories and is always excited to read her latest novel.

Stella also enjoys dancing, singing and acting and has starred in a few musicals and short films. One of her favourite hobbies is teaching her cats to do tricks. Stella loves doing segments with One More Page podcast and can’t wait to work with them again soon.
